The President will report directly to the Vice President Business Unit Special Markets who is headquartered in Germany.

Experience and Qualifications
The qualified candidate will have a minimum of twenty (20) years of successful business experience in technology driven organizations with at least ten (10) of those years in the automotive/commercial vehicle industry. He/she will have relevant knowledge of sales, marketing, production, engineering, quality, customer service, finance, supply chain, and human resources. Also, included in the twenty years of experience will be a minimum of fifteen (15) years of people management experience with at least five (5) of those years at the Vice President Sales, Marketing, Business Development or General Management level.
The successful candidate will have achieved progressively increased responsibility and will, most likely, currently be a senior member of a management team. This individual will have a high comfort level in a culture featuring OEM and Aftermarket sales in the automotive/commercial vehicle industry, engineering, product application, customer service, business development, and team building.
The qualified candidate will have a successful business career and will have distinguished himself/herself as a highly qualified person in their field of expertise. In addition to the above experiences and traits, the successful candidate will have the following experience:
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, quite possibly in a technical discipline (i.e., mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering or engineering technology). However, an individual with a degree in some other area such as business who meets all other requirements, has an appropriate technical aptitude, and has significant experience in the OEM and aftermarket channels of the vehicle industry may be considered for this opportunity. An MBA would be a plus.

Since the successful candidate will be expected to interact on a face-to-face basis with customers in Canada and the United States as well as attending business meetings in Europe, the expected travel schedule will be in the 25% to 30% range.
Basic Function and Responsibilities
The President will have P & L responsibility for leading and managing the organization in a manner that meets the expectations of the customers, the employees, the owners, and the board members. A primary function will be driving a culture of continuous improvement, identifying and pursuing growth opportunities, and developing and selling new products to pursue these opportunities.
Furthermore, the President is responsible for the proper management of all aspects of activities so as to insure, over a continuing period, realization of maximum profits consistent with the long-range interests of the company and its owners, giving due regard to the interests of the employees and the customers. Working under the direct supervision of the Vice President Business Unit Special Markets, the President will protect the corporate investments and strive to attain long-term growth and profitability.
The President also is responsible for developing and maintaining a suitable organizational structure, for employing and developing competent management talent, and for formulating with the Vice President Business Unit Special Markets business policies.
